O-Ring Diverter Cap (pre-2010)

The Diverter Cap O-ring (pre-2010) is the rubber sealing ring that sits under the cap of a diverter valve on Arctic Spas built before 2010. The pre-2010 valve design uses a different cap profile than current Arctic Spas, so the O-ring isn't interchangeable with the post-2010 versions.

What this O-ring does: The diverter cap threads down over the top of the diverter valve to hold the internal mechanism in place and seal against water leaking past the cap thread. The cap O-ring is what actually creates the watertight seal between the cap and the diverter housing. When it fails, you get water weeping up through the threads any time the spa is running.

Will this fit my spa? Yes, if your Arctic Spa was built in 2009 or earlier with the pre-2010 diverter design. If your spa is post-2010, you need the current-generation Diverter Cap Clear O-ring instead. Not sure which generation your spa is? How to install: No need to drain the spa unless you're disassembling the entire diverter. Unscrew the cap, remove the old O-ring, clean the groove, lightly lubricate the new O-ring with plumbing-safe silicone lubricant, seat it cleanly, and re-thread the cap finger-tight.

• Pre-2010 Arctic Spa parts can be harder to source as they age — order a couple of spares while you're at it
• Replace the matching Diverter Internal O-ring at the same time — they age together
• Bring the old O-ring to a showroom for matching if you're at all unsure which generation fits your spa
