The Diverter Cap Clear O-ring is the rubber sealing ring that sits under the cap of the current-generation (post-2010) Arctic Spas diverter valve. It seals between the cap and the diverter housing, preventing water from weeping up through the cap thread when the spa is running.
What this O-ring does: The diverter cap threads down over the top of the diverter to hold the internal mechanism in place. The cap O-ring is what creates the watertight seal between the cap and the housing. When this O-ring fails, water weeps out at the top of the diverter every time the jets run — typically a small slow drip rather than a gusher, but enough to slowly soak the cabinet panel below if left.
Will this fit my spa? Yes, if your Arctic Spa is a 2010 or newer model with the current-generation clear diverter cap. If your spa is pre-2010, you need the older Diverter Cap (pre-2010) O-ring instead. Not sure which generation? Bring the old O-ring (or the diverter cap itself) to one of our three Ontario showrooms for matching.
How to install: No need to drain the spa unless you're disassembling the entire diverter. Unscrew the cap, remove the old O-ring, clean the groove, lightly lubricate the new O-ring with plumbing-safe silicone lubricant, seat it cleanly, and re-thread the cap finger-tight.
Quick tips:
- Replace the matching Diverter Internal Clear O-ring at the same time — they age together
- Don't overtighten the cap — finger-tight plus a touch is enough; cranking on it cracks the cap and stretches the O-ring
- Buy a couple at once — they're cheap and you'll likely replace them across multiple diverters eventually
