Air Control Bearclaw Clear

The Air Control Cap (Bearclaw Clear) is a clear-plastic decorative top cap for air-control fittings on the spa shell rim. It's the same functional part as the standard Black Round Cap but with a textured "bearclaw" pattern in clear acrylic, which catches the spa's perimeter LED lighting at night and adds a small visual feature.

Why owners pick the clear bearclaw: Two reasons — aesthetics and visibility. The clear bearclaw lights up beautifully at night when the spa's LED perimeter lighting glows up through the cap, giving each air-control point a small accent light. It's also slightly easier to grip than the smooth black version, especially in winter with cold or wet hands.

Quick tips:

• Clear acrylic ages a bit faster in UV than black plastic — expect a slight yellowing over 5+ years; use a UV protectant like Cover & Cabinet Renew to slow it
• If the underlying Air Control Internal is also worn or stiff, replace both at the same time — the threads engage as a set
• Don't overtighten when installing — finger-tight is enough; cranking on the cap with a wrench is how splines crack
